BREATHTAKING LEGACY

In an effort that began the winter semester of 1998, a group of dedicated women started organizing around a desire to bring Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. to the University of Michigan. Together they formed a strong foundation of sisterhood, demonstrated their interest nationally, and forged a colony on campus.

These women include Desirea Alvarez, Lucy Arellano, Cynthia Carrillo, Ixsy Ramirez, Amanda Rico, Jennifer Rivera, Norma Sanchez, Veronica Sanchez, Aileen Tung and Lily Wu. Alicia Ortez accepted the position of Chapter Advisor.

Beta Chapter is proud to continue the legacy that the founding sisters began many years ago. We are thrilled to see our chapter membership grow, alongside growing numbers nationwide, welcoming diverse and truly dedicated siblings into our sisterhood. We are proud to provide the University of Michigan campus community a diverse perspective committed to our five principles.
